Create a Position
As an admin in ActiveTeam, this is how you can create a new position.
Instructions
1. From the ActiveTeam Calendar page, click “Position“ from the “+ Create” dropdown, or from the Positions tab or the Management Page.
You can also begin creating a position by clicking “Create Position” from any position input field:
2. Once the “Create New Position” modal is open, enter the name of the position you’d like to create
3. Click the “Icon” square to open all the icon options. Click one to select it.
4. Select the level of permissions you want this position to have.
The different permissions are:
Closed = No users can claim or request this position. Only admins can manually fill theses positions
Restricted = Only users who are qualified can claim or request these positions
Unrestricted = Any user can claim or request these positions
Within Restricted and Unrestricted positions, you can choose whether those positions are Locked or Unlocked:
Locked = Users have to click “Request Shift” on an open position on a shift. This sends a request to admins in the “Requests” tab. Once an admin approves the request, the user will occupy that position on that shift.
Unlocked = Users can click “Claim Shift” on an open position on a shift. This adds that user to that position on that shift.
5. Click “Save Position” in the bottom right corner to save the position and close the modal
🎉 You’re done! Now you can go and add this position to any shift.
