Responding to a Coverage Request

You’ve received a coverage request from another user or an administrator by email or push notification. You can respond through either the mobile app or the website.

Instructions

1. Click on the Respond to Request button at the bottom of the email or click the push notification.

a. If you’re on a supported mobile device and have the app installed, you’ll be redirected to the app.

b. If you’re on a computer or an unsupported mobile device or do not have the app installed, you’ll be redirected to https://console.active911.com in your browser.

2. Response options

a. “Claim” to automatically fill an unlocked position. The sender will get a notification email, no further action needed

b. “Request” permission from the administrator to fill a locked position. You will get a second notification if the administrator approved you. The sender will get a notification email.

c. “Deny” shift. The request will disappear, no notification email will be sent. You won’t be able to respond again to this request.

 🎉 Coverage request response complete!

If the request was sent by another user (to fill the position that they’re supposed to be filling), the first person to respond will be assigned to the shift and all others will show as No Response.
