Selecting Channels
Press the power button to turn on ActiveComms
On the same bar as the Power button, press the chevron to expand the ActiveComms menu
Press the bar labeled 1
A list of channels will pop up, select the channel you’d like to listen/respond to
If the channel you select is a radio bridge channel, the label will change from “RADIO ON” to “BRIDGE CONNECTED”.
If it is a virtual channel (not connected to your radio system), it will remain “Radio On”.
Repeat for the bar labeled 2
Once finished the screen should look like the image below
Above the channel name will show the channels status. See the glossary below to see what each color and indicator mean.
Switching between channels
To switch between channels, click the channel toggle button to move a channel from the top to the bottom and vice versa.
Radio Bridge Disconnected
If you are seeing a message saying that your radio bridge is disconnected, your bridge is not able to connect to our servers. To reconnect, ensure that your bridge has a stable internet connection. You may also need to restart the radio bridge. If the message persists after completing the reboot, please contact our support team.
Glossary
Radio Message Indicator | Definition |
---|---|
Connected | The channel is connected but has not received any communications yet. |
Disconnected | Channel has lost connection to the service. |
Reconnecting | The service is attempting to reestablish a connection to our service. |
Idle | Listening to the channel but inactive. |
Receiving | The channel being listened to is receiving a transmission. |
Transmitting | You are speaking into the channel. |
Status Indicator Color | Definition |
---|---|
White | Establishing connection. |
Green | Connection stable. |
Yellow | Connection unstable. |
Red | Not connected to ActiveComms services. |
