Selecting/Switching Channels(New Overlay)
Selecting Channels
When turning on ActiveComms for the first time or when no channels are selected, you will be asked to choose a channel.
Tap the “+” button on the left side of the screen.
Tap the “+”. A menu with channels you have access to will appear.
Tap the channel you wish to listen to.
Once you’ve tapped the channel you want, the selected channel will appear in the overlay.
A green cloud indicator will appear once you are connected virtually to a channel.
If the channel is connected to your agency radios, an ActiveBridge icon will appear to the left of the cloud.
If green, the ActiveBridge is connected, and you can now listen to and respond to calls over your agency radio.
If red, your client believes the bridge is not properly connected to that channel.
If your phone's internet connection is solid, try powering the overlay off and back on.
If it stays red, the bridge will go offline, and you won't be able to receive audio from the radio or transmit over it until it returns online.
To add a second channel, tap the “+ Add Channel” section to bring up the channels menu.
The channel you selected earlier will now be greyed out and unclickable.
Switching Channels
To switch channels, tap the channel you wish to leave. Once you have tapped the channel, the list of channels will appear and you can select a new channel to listen to.
