Muting/Unmuting

In the new overlay, you can no longer enter the ActiveComms settings to mute a user; instead, we have created a new button that will allow you to quickly access the channel participants and toggle their speaking privileges.

Only ActiveComms admins can see and use mute controls. Muting a member prevents them from keying up to talk and disables the push-to-talk button. Keep in mind, users can’t mute themselves.

To mute a user

  1. Tap the user's button on the ActiveComms overlay

  1. Tap the slider next to the user you want to mute.

  2. A pop-up will appear asking, “Are you sure you want to mute USERS NAME in CHANNEL?”.

  1. The user is now muted and will appear at the top of the users list.

To unmute a user

  1. Follow steps 1-3

  2. A pop-up will appear asking you to confirm that you want to unmute the user.

  1. The user is now unmuted.
