Enabling Haptics for PTT - Android

To help users know when they can start transmitting, without having an audible queue, we’ve enabled Android devices to use haptic feedback to alert you when ActiveComms has begun listening and will be transmitting your communications.

This feature can be found under one of two places, “Sound and Vibration” or “Accessibility” but as each android is different, there may be extra steps to take.

  1. Open your device’s settings

    1. Click “Sound and Vibration”

      1. Tap “Vibration”

      2. Now enable Touch feedback

    2. Tap accessibility

      1. Tap Vibration & haptic strength

      2. Enable or adjust Touch Feedback

Be advised this will also enable haptic feedback in other applications on your phone.
